OVER WATER SURFACE

Bij Water Surface-contactlenzen bestaat de oppervlakte van de lens voor bijna 100% uit water9-12**. Contactlenzen met een optimale bevochtiging bieden een optimaal glad oppervlak wat het draagcomfort kan verbeteren16. Water Surface geeft minder corneale druk en frictie, dus ook verminderde epitheelschade17. Om consumenten te overtuigen van de voordelen van dit materiaal is het belangrijk dat oogzorgprofessionals de techniek van de lens goed uitleggen; als nieuwe categorie en als innovatief product. Alcon heeft daarvoor diverse marketingmaterialen voorhanden. Alcon lanceerde in 2011 de eerste lens met een Water Surfacelaag, de DAILIES TOTAL1™.
